It's a short course, but stepping up to the mark to begin creative writing can be like scuba diving. (I'm just imagining that as I've never been scuba diving), but I've experienced a little snorkeling and the wonder and surprise of wearing a mask in the ocean for the first time and seeing the depths and life that you're otherwise swimming above unknowingly.
I think creative writing is like this; a vast world of very different creatures, and while it's unlikely that you'd take it all on at once, what I want to do here is create a 'starter pack'.
So whether it's poetry, or plays, screenplay or novel writing, that you want to write or just to write, and write in a new way, I hope that this experience offers some helpful approaches and considerations to go along with your discoveries.
